Ballet Lines of Petersburg

Elegant, subtle, triumphant... You can pick up a lot of epithets, because St. Petersburg is an extraordinary city. Everyone sees something different in it. I saw a dance in which St. Petersburg masterfully performs several parts at once - this is both a beautiful grandiose scenery, and the role of a plastic graceful dancer. There is a certain pride and majesty in his bearing. His movements are rhythmic and light. In a duet with him, the ballerina looks organically; the city as a partner leads her, and sets the pose. The harmony of the lines of the ballerina and the lines of the city can be seen not only in its historical part, the modern St. Petersburg dancer is no less plastic.

The ballet dancers of the Mikhailovsky Theater danced in a duet with the city: Ekaterina Odarenko, Sara Barbieri, Leda Šeparović and soloist Svetlana Bednenko, as well as the Mariinsky Ballet dancer Marina Teterina.

The project was presented at my first solo exhibition in Artmuza, St. Petersburg in 2020.
